NICOLE M. HUGHES is a Staff Attorney at Edelson PC where she assists individuals and government entities in mass torts and government enforcement actions.
Currently, Nicole assists clients who were impacted by 2018 Northern California Camp Fire. Nicole assisted in preparing hundreds of claim submissions and helps maintain all aspects of client’s claims to the Fire Victim Trust. Nicole is also currently supporting litigators in government enforcement actions on behalf of the District of Colombia.
Nicole received her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. During her time in law school, Nicole focused her studies on Compliance and received a Compliance Certificate from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. In addition, Nicole was a student attorney in the Health Justice Project Clinic where she represented low-income clients from the South and West sides of Chicago in matters of health care access and other areas of law that impacted the health and well-being of Erie Family Health Center’s patients.
Outside of work, Nicole serves as a volunteer in California State University, Long Beach’s First Amendment Scholars program where she coaches undergraduate students in mock oral arguments.
