Ethylene Oxide Emissions May Be Responsible for Cancer Diagnoses
We may be able to help.
The U.S. EPA identified high emissions of toxic ethylene oxide in various census tracts around the country. Ethylene oxide (or EtO) is a human carcinogen that has been shown to cause breast cancer, cancers of the white blood cells, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma, myeloma, lymphocytic leukemia, and various tumors. Some studies suggest that long-term exposure to ethylene oxide may also cause pancreatic cancer, brain tumors, ovarian cancer, and stomach cancer.
The alleged sources of ethylene oxide emissions are medical sterilization facilities and chemical production plants. When these facilities use ethylene oxide, they release the gas into the air and the surrounding communities.
Our attorneys have filed a number of personal injury and class action lawsuits on behalf of individuals living or working near ethylene oxide emitting facilities. If you or a loved one have been diagnosed with one of the above cancer types, contact us for a free case consultation.
