HAKAN SEYALIOGLU is the Director of Technical Investigations at Edelson PC, where his work focuses on technology, data, and consumer protection.
Prior to joining the firm, Hakan served as Senior Technologist to the Enforcement Director at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, where he supervised a team of cross-disciplinary technologists working on investigations and litigation across all sectors under the Bureau’s authority, including payments, mortgages, banking, credit, and service providers to those covered entities. Before his time at the CFPB, Hakan was a Policy Advisor to Senator Ben Ray Luján, covering issues such as technology, telecommunications, consumer protection, banking, housing, intelligence, and animal welfare.
Before moving to Washington, DC, Hakan was a technical lead and manager on multiple projects at Google. He was part of the Video Inventory Analytics team at YouTube, which used Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to classify millions of videos daily, as well as the Android Framework and Google Play teams, which deploy tools for mobile development across the world.
