Curriculum Vitae
Skyler Hughes is Mass Torts Counsel at Edelson PC where his work focuses on wildfire litigation related to the 2020 Labor Day fires in Oregon. Before joining Edelson, Skyler worked at a Chicago-based firm assisting victims of asbestos exposure, advocating for those whose lives were upended by cancer diagnoses.
During law school, Skyler was the Executive Editor of Loyola Law Journal’s online content and a Senior Editor of the Loyola Consumer Law Review. He also served as an extern for Justice Steven David of the Indiana Supreme Court.
Before and during law school, Skyler was a disaster case manager at BakerRipley, a community nonprofit in Houston, Texas. He connected people impacted by Hurricane Harvey with resources such as home repair, rehousing, property replacement, and employment assistance.
