CHRISTOPHER DEGENNARO is a Partner at Edelson PC, where he is a member of the firm’s Trial practice group. Chris focuses his practice on trying class actions and mass torts arising from corporate wrongdoing.
Prior to joining Edelson PC, Chris was an equity partner at a prominent Am Law 50 law firm in New York where he was an original member of the firm’s Trial Team.
Earlier in his career, Chris clerked for the Honorable A. Kathleen Tomlinson in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office.
- Won a multimillion-dollar trial victory for a Fortune 200 consumer products company in a contract arbitration against a former distributor
- Tried a $50 million commercial real estate dispute for an elite, Manhattan-based law firm against its commercial landlord in the Commercial Division of the New York State Supreme Court
- Won summary judgment in a $100 million M&A-related lawsuit for a health care consulting firm involving alleged fraud in acquisition due diligence in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (affirmed by the Second Circuit.)
- Won dismissal of a putative securities class action for a leading cannabis REIT in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey
- Won summary judgment in a gender discrimination lawsuit for a New York-based investment firm in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (affirmed by the Second Circuit)
- Obtained favorable settlements of consumer class actions for a variety of consumer finance and consumer products companies pre-litigation and in courts across the country
