CHRISTOPHER DEGENNARO  is a Partner at Edelson PC, where he is a member of the firm’s Trial practice group. Chris focuses his practice on trying class actions and mass torts arising from corporate wrongdoing.

Prior to joining Edelson PC, Chris was a partner at a prominent, international law firm, where he was an original member of the firm’s Trial Team.

Earlier in his career, Chris clerked for the Honorable A. Kathleen Tomlinson in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office.

  • Member of trial team in the Oregon Labor Day wildfire litigation, trying plaintiffs’ damages cases before Oregon juries. In 2023, Edelson secured a first-of-its-kind jury verdict holding PacifiCorp—the utility in the fire area—liable to a certified class of thousands of Oregonians. To date, we’ve won over $1 billion in verdicts and judgments for the survivors whose cases have proceeded to trial.* James v. PacifiCorp, No. 20-cv-33885 (Multnomah Cty., Or.)
  • Won a multimillion-dollar trial victory for a Fortune 200 consumer products company in a contract arbitration against a former distributor**
  • Tried a $50 million commercial real estate dispute for an elite, Manhattan-based law firm against its commercial landlord in the Commercial Division of the New York State Supreme Court**
  • Won summary judgment in a $100 million M&A-related lawsuit for a health care consulting firm involving alleged fraud in acquisition due diligence in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (affirmed by the Second Circuit.)**
