JAMIE RENNER is Senior Counsel at Edelson PC, where he litigates consumer protection cases involving some of the most pressing issues facing Americans today.

Currently, Jamie represents hundreds of LA wildfire victims seeking relief from California FAIR Plan—the state’s fire insurer “of last resort”. He also identifies and develops new high-impact consumer protection matters for the firm.

Prior to joining Edelson PC, Jamie held powerful institutions accountable for harming consumers at every stage of life. As an Assistant Attorney General at the Vermont Attorney General’s Office, he helped lead a 40+ state investigation into Meta/Instagram and TikTok for youth safety violations, then spearheaded Vermont’s lawsuit against Meta. He led investigations and lawsuits against long-term care facility chains, a nurse staffing agency, a national medical device manufacturer, and a dental service chain for deceiving older consumers. He also chaired a 48-state task force guiding Attorneys General on protecting seniors through litigation, policy, and education.

Jamie previously served as Senior Litigation Counsel at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, where he co-led an investigation and lawsuit against Capital One for defrauding consumers of hundreds of millions of dollars. He investigated and sued predatory lenders targeting lower-income families and veterans.
