Curriculum Vitae
RANEN MIAO is a Paralegal at Edelson PC, where he focuses on environmental mass tort litigation. His commitment to social justice began during his undergraduate years through internships with diverse organizations addressing civil rights, immigration, and equality issues. He gained experience working with two Congressional offices, the ACLU (both national and Missouri chapters), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the State Department, and Abortion Action Missouri, focusing on LGBTQIA+ rights, reproductive freedom, and immigration advocacy.
Ranen graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis, where he served two terms as student body president and led the Debate Team, Pride Alliance, and Undergraduate Law Review. His dedication to public service and environmental work earned him both a Truman Scholarship and a Udall Scholarship. Following graduation, he co-founded OutVote, an organization dedicated to building civic engagement within the LGBTQIA+ community.
At Edelson PC, Ranen combines his passion for civil rights with his commitment to leveraging litigation as a tool for advancing social and economic justice.
